In 1992, Amanda Bossard began her research in marine biology at Anchorage at Alaska Pacific University. Bossard started her commercial seafood career in 1999 when she was hired on board the ship F/V Sunset. This 65' schooner, which was transformed into a salmon tender was owned by Murat Aritan. Aritan has been involved in commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard has married Aritan. They have now joined forces and are claiming the respective businesses. Both are in favor of conserving resources and maximising profits. Otolith has opened its market direct wholesale distributorship in Philadelphia when Bossard was able to return from in her home town with two daughters, Bella 3 years old and Andre one, to Philadelphia.
